Dry winds make wildfire danger in E. Washington

PENDLETON, Ore. (AP) -- The National Weather Service is warning of a high wildfire danger from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday evening in most of Eastern Washington and parts of eastern Oregon.

Forecasters have issued a red flag warning because of expected breezy winds and low relative humidity.

The warning area covers Ellensburg, Wenatchee, Yakima, Moses Lake, the Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, Pullman and Spokane in Washington; also The Dalles, Hermiston and Pendleton in Oregon.
